Notes

Not to bad. Sugary but not really sugary. Might try adding more spinach to adjust for that.

Blueberry Blast

The Smoothie Recipe Book

Blueberry Blast

Adult who drink blueberry juice tend to score better on cognitive tests, including memory and critical thinking, and blackberries are great for your noggin to. Meanwhile, cucumbers add brain-healthful chlorophyll and lighten up the intense berry flavor of this drink.
Course: Smoothie

Ingredients

  • 1 cups blueberries
  • 1 cups blackberries
  • 1 cucumber quartered

Method

  1. Blend all ingredients together. If you'd like to add even more brainpower while lending the smoothie a creamy, natty flavor, add 1/2 cup almond milk.

Notes

Wasn't to thrilled with this one and probably pretty sugary.

  • Seeds from 1 pomegranate
  • 1 cups blueberries
  • 2 cups spinach

  1. Add the water to the blender first, then add the broccoli and the kale. Pulse until there are only small pieces, then add the rest of the ingredients, and blend until smooth. Server in a bowl and garnish with a sprig of cilantro.

Notes

Pretty much tastes like grass with base recipe though probably is very good for you. Apple helped improve quite a bit.

Antioxidant Punch

Antioxidant Punch

This is a cancer-preventing, wrinkle-fighting heavyweight with a light, mildly fruity flavor.
Servings: 2 cups

Ingredients

  • 2 stalks celery
  • 2 broccoli florets preferably at least a bit cooked
  • 1 cups blue berries
  • 1 banana peeled
  • 1 cucumber quartered

Method

  1. Pulse the celery and broccoli, then add the rest of the ingredients. Blend and enjoy.

Notes

1: I found it easier to blend the blue berries first for the liquid. Tastes pretty good and probably low on fruit sugar. Wasn't very free flowing when I try to drink it though so drinking fast is preferable.
